Our team members are the most valuable assets we have. The top priority at Hirschi Masonry is to make sure every member of our team completes the day safely so they can make it home to their families at night.

Safety isn’t just a word at Hirschi Masonry, it’s a priority for our team – 24/7!

Construction sites have many inherent dangers. Masonry work – with the many different types of tools and equipment used and frequent work at heights off of decking or scaffold, among other hazards – contains more dangers than many trades.

Because of this, training, knowledge and awareness are vitally important. Being able to identify and be aware of hazards, possessing the training and knowledge to know how to deal with those hazards can mean all the difference in the world.

In our award-winning safety program, we go far above and beyond what is required. In addition to completion of the legally-required OSHA training, our new hire orientation includes safety training sessions to prepare new employees for the unique conditions they will face in the field.

But our team’s commitment to safety doesn’t stop there. Every member of the team is treated to continual training to reinforce, refresh and renew that commitment.

Providing our team with the best safety equipment is paramount. We outfit our veneer crews with retractable fall-arrest devices for working at heights and above the roof line on homes and buildings. Tools and equipment are subject to constant inspection to ensure they are in top working order.

Our in-house safety consultants make sure that everyone is on top of their game!

Our team is always looking for new ways to improve safety. We don’t just react but long ago adopted a proactive approach to workplace safety – investigating and adopting new methods, items and equipment where they can reduce risks to our team members.

Safety – another area to Expect More at Hirschi Masonry!
