It’s been the most-anticipated construction project and retail outlet in Las Vegas in a long time. The 351,000-square-foot IKEA store has been the talk of the town.

And now there’s even more and better news coming from this project. IKEA has announced they are looking to fill 300 jobs in the furniture store. About 60 more jobs will eventually be filled in food service establishments inside the store.

If you’re looking for work in home furnishing sales, interior design, customer service, safety and security, cashier, facility management, receiving, and stock replenishment and warehouse, IKEA Las Vegas may have a job for you.

The Swedish furniture retailer, which is building its first Las Vegas store along the 215 Beltway at Durango Drive and Sunset Road, said on Tuesday it’s launched the “worker recruitment process” for 300 jobs at the store.

IKEA Las Vegas also will offer about 60 food service opportunities in its store restaurant and also the Swedish Foodmarket, Cafe Bistro and employee cafeteria.

The construction and eventual opening of the IKEA store is a major milestone in the comeback of Las Vegas and the Hirschi Masonry team is excited to be a part of this tremendous addition to Southern Nevada’s economy.

As the economy in the Las Vegas area has rebounded our team has been on the forefront of the recovery. We have been fortunate to be able to apply our Expect More philosophy to bringing to life the most prominent and important projects in the area – projects like IKEA, which is projected to not only provide another retail outlet for consumers but hundreds of jobs for residents of Southern Nevada! We’ll have more on this project as it gets closer to completion.

At Hirschi Masonry we know that we do more than just construct buildings. Our work helps to improve people’s lives – creating new venues for them to find the goods and services and provide the jobs that enhance the lives of them and their their families.
